CHOGM Infrastructure Development

Kampala Northern Bypass

The Kampala Northern Bypass is intended to partly relieve the current severe traffic congestion experienced in the City of Kampala and also to serve as part of a wider programme to reduce the transportation constraints along the northern corridor route for both national and regional road transport. Busunju-Kiboga-Hoima Roadworks

The upgrading of the existing gravel road to bitumen standard with 80 kilometers per hour design speed will enhance the local economy by facilitating access of goods and produce to Kampala and generally will be of significant benefit to the region. Download

 

 

Kawempe-Luwero-Kafu Road Works

As At 03/11/2007PDF, 129KB

In response to public outcry on the condition of the road from Kampala (Kawempe) to Kafu and in accordance with the Ministry’s strategic road investment programme, the Government of Uganda proposed to the World Bank to finance the required works of rehabilitation and periodic maintenance, using the savings from the RDPPI Credit.
